I earned my nursing degree at 60 and became a pediatric nurse.

I looked around and saw only young people. I felt out of place, but I knew I needed to do this to move forward.

This was my third career. I went from being a postal clerk for 30 years to a graphic designer for 8 years to a nurse caring for medically fragile pediatric patients. All three careers look very different on the surface, but to me, they all reflected my lifelong love of learning.
