Our experiences make us unique individuals, and our Karma shapes those experiences. This raises a question: What about future human clones? If all our religions talk about Karma and the soul is a spiritual connection to the body, will clones have Karma? Will they have a soul? Will the cells they are cloned from carry the Karma or the soul?
Whether human clones would have their own karma or soul raises complex questions about identity and spirituality. Who are we really? One view holds that because the soul is non-physical and karma arises from individual intentions and actions, each clone would be a distinct person with a separate karmic path, much like identical twins. Another view suggests that if karma and the soul follow a specific biological or energetic lineage, a clone might share or extend the original person’s karmic stream, especially if spiritual traditions link the soul to natural conception. A middle-ground position holds that clones could inherit some karmic tendencies from their donors but still generate their own karma through unique choices and experiences, highlighting how differently religions and philosophies might interpret the same scenario.
