“Beam me up Scotty”

Daily writing prompt
What’s something you’d love to see in the future, but know you probably won’t live to witness?

That dream we all had in the 60s and 70s of equality, love, respect, and celebration of one another’s differences. I felt, for a brief moment, that we were heading in the right direction when Barack Obama was elected president. Our second Camelot.

Now, it has been completely destroyed by the underbelly of America, which has reared its ugly, hateful, intolerant agenda under the guise of M—A. Great for whom? The only ones I see profiting from this are the super-rich, who have bamboozled the masses of the ignorant and the submissive. We don’t know what is true anymore; good journalism is disappearing, replaced by puppets and controlled by fear. I do hope we wake up from this horrible nightmare before it is too late. Will I see the change for the better, or will it continue to spiral into mass insanity and hysteria? “Beam me up, Scotty.”
