Daily writing prompt
If you had a time machine and could send just one message to your past self, what would it say?

I’d tell my younger self this: You are amazing just the way you are. I spent so much time and energy worrying about what other people thought of me. Was I getting it right? Was I cool enough? Pretty enough? Smart enough? Looking back, my youth held so much—hope, fear, doubt, and survival. Doubt made me hesitate, postpone, and shrink from things I might have embraced sooner. But in fairness to myself, I did the best I could while growing up in a dysfunctional and broken home. I’m proud that I persevered. And yes, I was amazing. I was brave. I was stronger than I knew at the time.
