Daily writing prompt
If you had a time machine and could send just one message to your past self, what would it say?

Getting ready for an evening of writing. I am a night owl writer. Today, I am inspired by my recent trip to Panama and my visit with the Embera tribe. Panama taught me to be brave and to follow my bliss.

If I had a time machine, I would send my younger self this message: Be brave and follow your bliss.

Fear held me back more than once. I wanted to join the Navy, but I let fear keep me from taking that step. We can never know where the “what-ifs” of life might have led us. Still, I embrace all that I have been, all that I have accomplished, and all the adventures yet to come.

I will turn 70 on August 25—a meaningful milestone and a time for deep reflection. After retiring from a 30-year career with the Post Office, I finally gave myself permission to follow my bliss. I spent six years as a Buddhist nun, eight years as a graphic artist for my local newspaper, and another eight years as a pediatric nurse. Each chapter taught me something valuable and helped shape the person I am today.

Now, I am beginning what may be my greatest adventure: writing. I hope to continue creating stories, learning, and following my imagination well into my 80s.

I cannot change the opportunities I missed, but I can honor the life I have lived—and step bravely into everything that still awaits me.

Honestly, it was wonderful to read your blog. Looking forward to reading more blogs from your side.
I’m so happy to see a 70 years young ( depending on your energy I won’t say old ) individual like you who’s so enthusiastic about life and its adventures. ❤️
