It’s Groundhog Day

Daily writing prompt
If you could rewrite any book’s ending, which one would you choose?

Is it Friday or Sunday? No, wait, it’s Monday—the click-click of the shutters opening, letting the perfect sunshine into my room. The cats circle my feet as I make my way into the living room. Bartzz, bartzz. The curtains open, revealing a lovely view of the garden from my upstairs condo. I think it’s another beautiful day in the neighborhood. South Florida paradise weather again! The cats begin wrestling with each other; they are getting impatient for their chow. The final two sets of curtains open, and I am surrounded by sunshine. By now, the automatic cat feeder comes to life, calling out, “Taz, Bodhi, come and eat,” whir, “Taz, Bodhi, come and eat.” The Keurig is turned on, and my favorite coffee mug gets a scoop of Ryze mushroom coffee and two packets of Truvia. Got to stay healthy. I get my laptop, glasses, and notebook—time to sit, relax, and write.

I take a look at today’s prompt on WordPress: If you could rewrite any book’s ending, which one would you choose?

It’s Groundhog Day

I sip my coffee while YouTube plays on the TV, with Faraway Village in the background.

Hmm, I thought I had this same prompt not too long ago.
