That Darn Watermelon Seed

Daily writing prompt
What’s something you used to believe as a kid that seems ridiculous now?

I believed that my dolls were alive and willing to attack me as I slept.

I believed that swallowing a watermelon seed would cause a tree to grow inside your stomach.

I believed that trees had a soul and could watch me.

I believed that the moon followed me.

I believed the train was moving when another train whizzed by it.

I believed there was an actual lake in the middle of the road.

I believed that if I wasted paper, I would come back as a ghost, crumbling paper.

I believed I could have an out-of-body experience if I concentrated enough.

I believed everything the grown-ups told me.

Haha, that of the seed growing in your belly… that was told to me too. The weird things adults tell…
    Warm regards, Patty
