Little Man Bodhi

Ode to my little man Bodhi
May your steps be steady and sure
On your journey to your next adventure

May you roar loudly like a lion
Gentle as you were
I’ll miss you calling me and following me

Telling me to pay attention
Nudging me off my computer
I am here, I am here

I see you, little man, Bodhi.
I hear your clear hello
You even said my name once or twice.

I hope I brought you comfort.
Like you brought to me
In my loneliness and endless hours

How fortunate I am to have met you.
To have shared that little corner of the bed with you
To have received your gift of love
