We will always want more.

Daily writing prompt
If you had an unlimited budget for 24 hours, what would you do?
Small town street with people looking up and dollar bills falling from the sky and scattered on rooftops and pavement
How much is enough?

Today’s prompt is: What would I do if I had unlimited funds for 24 hours?

What happens after 24 hours?

I’m wondering, does it all disappear? Do I die? Do the people I love die or get ill?

How much money is enough? I see billionaires still greedy for more.

Do they have enough? Are they happy?

Will their money keep them from dying, getting sick, or losing loved ones?

What if I made everyone rich in 24 hours with my unlimited funds?

Solved the national debt?

Would that stop all the wars? Would that stop all the hate? Would it solve all our problems? How much is enough?

Could I ever satisfy my own craving?

What is the price of true, lasting happiness? Is there such a thing?

Or is it just changing suffering?

I’m hungry; I’ll eat. At what point does eating become painful again?

Temporary happiness, never lasting.

What is the point? Spinning our wheels trying to figure out an imaginary unlimited budget, when craving is in our very nature.

We will always want more.
