Clear the Way

Daily writing prompt
What are the biggest benefits of minimalist living?

Down came the boho decorations, 20-odd acrylic paintings, wall hangings, and the African masks. The walls were repainted in a neutral color to appeal to the average buyer. The kitchen counters were cleared. The cat toys were banished to a small corner of the lanai. The furniture was rearranged to improve flow. I applied the principles of Asian Feng Shui to promote positive energy and harmony in the room. My drop-off-everything desk was cleared, and all the office supplies were packed away. Now I can’t find a stamp. Not to worry, I use email anyway. I looked around at my once-very-busy Boho condo and kind of liked the simplicity. Minimalism is about decluttering your life and surroundings. I’m trying to sell my condo to simplify my life. I want to be able to pick up and stay abroad for a long period of time. Live the expat life. I don’t want to wake up each morning to “now what?” I want to declutter my brain of all the bad news and ugliness.
