Somebody is Watching Me

Daily writing prompt
What’s a conspiracy theory you actually find believable?

Three conspiracies I actually believe are that aliens exist, Big Brother is watching, and Havana Syndrome is real.

Aliens are not that far-fetched. It makes common sense: how can we assume we are alone in the universe? It seems more reasonable that there are life forms beyond our own—and that some may be far more advanced than we are, perhaps even capable of traveling to our corner of space. The scary part is that they may be so advanced that they see us as little more than animals: a curiosity to be poked, prodded, and experimented on. After all, that is what we do with other species.

Big Brother is definitely watching. These days, the internet seems to know what I think before I think it. Just mention that you need a new crock pot, and suddenly you are inundated with crock pot ads. You don’t even have to look it up online.

Havana Syndrome is real. Without getting into the details, I have experienced the collateral damage myself.
